Sanja Bairava – An inspiring Girl completing B Ed. Course

Sanja Bairava is a daughter of a very poor “Silicosis” patient from Kosara village in Karauli district of Rajasthan. The village is known as “Village of Widows” due to most of the people work in stone mines and they get infected by Silicosis disease and they die at the age around 40 years.

The village didn’t have anyone graduate through the district HQ was just 4-5 KM from the village. At the same time hardly any girl was allowed to go to school after 5th class but we found Sanja Kumar as the only girl who passed 10th class in 2014. We started supporting her education and convince her parents to allow her to study further. Later we also provided her computer training and coaching classes for competitive exams. Now she is doing BEd degree and preparing for a Govt job.

She has inspired many of the girls from the village and now parents have allowed their daughters to go to school event in the district school.
