Empowering women by Tailoring Skills: Neha’s Success Stories
Neha is a 17 year old girl and she stopped going to school after 8th class and was not doing anything after 2015. Her mother is a house wife and father works as a private school teacher. We encouraged Neha to continue her studies and also learn some skills which can help her earn living for life. She joined our first batch of Tailoring classes. She also showed interest to become a fashion designer now and also ready to apply for 10th grade exam from open school. She learnt cutting, stitching very quickly and now she can stitch various ladies clothes.
Originally, she is from a village near Patna, Bihar and has 5 family members. Her parents are very happy that she will now continue her studies and also learning skills for life. Neha also learnt bag stitching after completing basic tailoring classes and has been stitching different types of bags.

Sarita: Empowering women by Scholarships & Tailoring Skills
Sarita Devi is a 20 years old girl, studying in BA 2nd year through distance learning with our scholarship support. She belongs to Unnav district in UP & she came to her aunty’s home few months ago and visited our NGO. Our team invited her to learn computer but later she showed interest learning “Tailoring Skills” also.
We got to know that her father is not keeping well and is bedridden for a long time. Her mother earns 2000-3000 Rs. per month by doing some stitching work at her village and supporting entire family. She has shown outstanding talent in Tailoring and started learning bag stitching. She has stitched different types of bags and earning money from us.
Sarita said “my father is not well since long and we live in a village & do not have any source of earning. Now I am able to support my family by earnings from Tailoring and also getting scholarship from PURE India. I will now be able to support education of my two siblings.
I am happy that PURE India has a center near my relatives house and also supported my Skill training without any fee. Entire team of NGO supports me personally and encourages me to do well in life”.
Shivani: Empowering women by Scholarships & Tailoring Skills
- Shivani Morya is a talented girl and she is from one of the first batches to join our tailoring classes. She is studying in 11th class at a Govt school, Delhi. She wants to become a fashion designer and she is good in drawing dress design on paper. Originally, she is from a village near Lucknow and her father works as a Gardner in a farm house. Her father earn Rs.7000/- month.
Our team invited her to learn Tailoring and sharpen her fashion designing skills practically. She learnt cutting, stitching very quickly and now she can stitch various ladies clothes. Shivani learnt bag stitching and has been stitching different types of bags after completing her school classes everyday. We found her as a talented girl and started providing her Scholarship for her higher education and other skill trainings.
Shivani said “my parents are not aware about importance of education and it can change our lives too. I requested them to allow me to learn Tailoring skill at PURE India. They happily allowed me to go to NGO as many children are already taking education here. I am very happy that NGO has given us enough time and a good trainer to learn these skills. Now I am able to earn some money by stitching bags to help my family”.
Anjali : Truck Driver’s daughter’s become a BPO Finance executive
Anjali was studying in BA 1st year via correspondence. Her father is a truck driver & mother is a house wife so cant afford to send her to full time college & pay higher education fee .
Anjali is eldest among 4 siblings and wanted to support her father to get proper education for her sister & brothers. Anjali visited us and joined our first computer training batch in Jul’16 at Delhi center. Our Trainer & corporate volunteers provided real business knowledge to our students hence Anjali got selected in her first job interview at a Finance company at Cyber City Gurgaon and she got first salary of Rs.12000/ monthly plus incentive.
Her parents are very happy and give credit to PURE India’s innovative training, mentoring & encouragement to their daughter and empower entire family.

Pushpendra: A village boy became a NGO Project Manager
Pushpendra Singh is a son of farmer from a small village in Rajasthan. His family somehow managed to complete his graduation in 2013. Later he spent 3 years in trying for competition exams for government job but he could not get success till Oct’2016. His family started putting pressure on him to start a job whatever it may be.
After spending 3 years in preparing for government job, I realized that I do not have any skill which can help me get a good job and I got confused. PURE India gave a clear direction and helped me start my career path. I am happy that I have attained this much within a year- Pushpendra Singh
Pushpendra came in touch with PURE India and asked for career advice & help. We suggested him to come to our Delhi center and start learning computing skills and also teach children from poor community. He started enjoying being with PURE India and attained good command in computers in first 3 months only and soon started assisting senior faculty.
Pushpendra completed 6 months of computer training and became a computer trainer at our center after completing the course and after 3 months of certification he became of PURE India Delhi Center in-charge.
