In a significant step towards rehabilitation and social reintegration, 10 inmates from Sanganer Open Jail have successfully launched their own businesses under PURE India Trust Bano Udyami program, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Jaipur. This initiative is designed to equip inmates with essential entrepreneurial skills, fostering self-reliance and enabling a smoother transition into mainstream society. If the pilot program demonstrates positive outcomes, the model is set to be scaled across Open Jails nationwide—underscoring the belief that, with the right support, every individual holds the potential for transformation and renewal. To date, Bano Udyami has empowered over 5,500 entrepreneurs across 17 states, collectively generating an estimated annual revenue of ₹45 crore.
