Ms. Seema, a resident of Samaspur village in Gurugram, is an 8th-pass widow and the sole breadwinner of her family. Determined to provide a secure future for her child, she started a small cloth store in her village despite facing financial constraints. Although the business generated a modest income, limited capital and inventory restricted its growth.
Recognizing her entrepreneurial potential, PURE India Trust, with the support of Cvent, provided business development support to strengthen her enterprise. She received assistance to expand her inventory, improve shop operations, and participated in mentoring sessions on business management, customer service, and business branding. These interventions enhanced her confidence and equipped her with practical skills to manage and grow her business.
Today, her cloth store generates an average monthly revenue of approximately ₹18,000 and a monthly profit of around ₹7,000. The increased income has improved her family’s financial stability and enabled her to build a more secure future for her child.
